About the Role

As a switcher at ADUSA Transportation, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving trailers for loading and unloading grocery, perishables, and salvage products. You will play a crucial role in supporting the supply chain network evolution, serving leading omnichannel grocery brands.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers into appropriate dock doors for loading and unloading of products for various departments.
• Move trailers into designated dock doors for unloading salvage products returning from retail stores.
• Relocate trailers as directed by the Yard Management System (YMS) to any required locations.
• Ensure compliance with Delhaize America standards in accuracy, safety, and productivity.
• Maintain accurate temperature logs for all running reefers on the yard.
• Keep a running list of common carrier trailers moved into doors during shifts.
• Complete yard audits within the YMS using handheld computers (where applicable).

Qualifications

• Some facilities may require a Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Some facilities may require candidates to be at least 21 years of age.
• Some facilities may require a clean driving record with 3 years (or 300,000 miles) of experience.
• Ability to meet expected work standards accurately and safely.
• Willingness to work the needed schedule to perform assigned duties.
• Familiarity or experience in a distribution environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to pass a D.O.T. physical and drug screen at facilities where a CDL is required.
• Work in a temperature range of -5°F to 90+°F for extended periods.

Preferred Requirements

• Excellent driving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to complete required record-keeping functions.
• Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers.

Pay

Salary range is between $18.80 - $35.00 per hour.
