Switchboard Operator On-call

About the Role

This position will have the responsibility of answering incoming telephone calls and directing calls to the appropriate individual or department. You will page employees and physicians when appropriate, greet and assist visitors at the main lobby reception desk, and respond in a calm and professional manner to emergency situations, including various code and alarm panels in the switchboard area.

Requirements

• High School Education
• Minimum one-year (1) experience answering a high volume of calls, preferably in a hospital setting (desirable)

Pay

The pay scale is $17.99 - $26.76 USD. Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
