Switchboard Operator I - Admissions

Position Summary

Receives and directs all phone calls and assist visitors, while projecting a professional image. Dispatches all emergency calls from the Emergency Operator Extension in a timely and accurate fashion. Maintains a neat and attractive lobby and front desk area.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma required, associate degree preferred- or higher.
• Switchboard experience is preferred.
• Customer service and professionalism, portraying the ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital image is a must.
• Qualified candidates need to be able to multi-task, remain organized, work well under stress and make decisions in unusual situations.

Pay Range

$16.00 - $21.12

Other Information

• Part time with benefits - 24 hours per week
• 2nd shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-9pm
• Flexibility with shift times preferred
• Able to multi-task
