Swiss Machinist - Weekend Days
About the role
Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Machinist at our Sauk Rapids, MN facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong machining experience, a commitment to quality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment. The weekend day shift for Machining is Friday-Sunday 7:00am-7:00pm and includes a 15% shift differential.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
- Marks and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
- Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications using various measuring tools such as: calipers, micrometers, and depth micrometers.
- Can perform basic set-ups on multiple machines.
- Ability to train CNC Operators and Machinists I on routine tasks.
- Developing proficiency with complex setups.
- Ability to perform intermediate troubleshooting procedures.
- Proficient with part inspection techniques (comparator, profilometer etc.).
Desired Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Familiarity with CMM, GD&T, and SPC.
- Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
- Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
Desired Education, Certifications and Experience
- Must have 3+ years of experience.
- A 2-year machining degree preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.

Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $19.09 - 32.45 per hour plus a 15% shift differential. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
