Swimming Pool Warranty Technician

About the role

The Warranty Technician role at Anthony & Sylvan Pools involves solving real problems in the field, diagnosing issues, and performing hands-on repairs to ensure the quality of work and the homeowner's investment. This role requires a strong customer service focus, a background in pool construction, pool equipment operations, leak detection, and underwater repair, and the ability to evaluate warranty claims and advise customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with office staff to support repair and inspection scheduling
• Assist in planning and coordinating warranty repairs based on workflow, project conditions, and vendor availability
• Perform swimming pool and pool equipment repairs, including crack repairs, leak detection, plumbing repairs, equipment diagnostics, replacement, and start-ups
• Conduct Pool School and customer education as assigned
• Communicate service recommendations related to warranty or repair issues to customers and internal teams
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of all pool services performed
• Maintain working knowledge of Anthony & Sylvan equipment, chemicals, and maintenance services
• Avoid performing tasks outside of warranty coverage

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• NESP CMS & CMT preferred
• 3 - 5 years swimming pool service / pool construction experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and proven problem-solving and organizational skills
• Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment repair and working knowledge of plumbing, masonry, and electrical
• Team player with a strong work ethic, excellent computer skills, and a positive approach to customer service
• Excellent organization skills, quick learner, result-oriented, attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently

Other requirements

• 90-100% travel required
• Occasional overtime and Saturday work during peak seasonal periods
• Physical requirements: ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions, lift and carry up to 30 pounds, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, operate heavy machinery or tools, wear required PPE, drive or travel between job sites as needed
