About the role
The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking individuals, aged 15+, passionate about teaching children to swim and eager to develop important life skills such as communication, leadership, and responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe environment for learning to swim
- Evaluate swimming skills and complete progress reports for each session
- Communicate with parents regarding their child’s progress
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Requirements
- Age 15+
- Experience working with children
- Pass American Red Cross CPR certification
- Pass an in-water skills assessment
- Summer Retention Bonus: $500 for working 300 hours between Memorial Day and Labor Day
