Swim Instructor
About the role
The Tuckahoe Family YMCA is seeking part time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool. The pay range for this position is $15-$17 per hour based on experience & qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Be enthusiastic and energetic, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Work a variety of shifts with a variety of ages.
- Teach swimming skills, basic water safety, and the YMCA core values using a variety of tools and teaching techniques.
Qualifications
- Have current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
- Have current YMCA, American Red Cross Lifeguard, or Ellis and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or WSI certifications (preferred but not required).
- If not certified, we will provide certification.
