About the role
The Swim Coach supports the development and training of the club’s swimming activities while providing individual swimming lessons to members and guests. This role works closely with the aquatics team to ensure a safe, engaging, and enjoyable experience for members and guests.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and training of the club’s swimming activities
- Provide individual swimming lessons to members and guests
- Work closely with the aquatics team to ensure a safe, engaging, and enjoyable experience for members and guests
- Help swimmers improve their skills in a supportive environment that consistently exceeds member expectations
- Maintain safety, foster a positive atmosphere, and deliver high-quality instruction
- Connect with members regularly and promote aquatic club activities
- Create a personalized experience for members by providing towels and water service during their use of the aquatic facilities
- Promote the facility amenities, programs, and the club while maintaining a high level of professionalism and service
- Absorb and implement new ideas and initiatives from management
- Attend swimming meets and warm-up sessions as scheduled

- Assist in designing swim practices as outlined by the manager and always maintain supervision of the group, including monitoring development for swimmers

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years of experience coaching swimmers of various ages and skill levels
- Must be ASCA or USA swimming certified
- Certification in CPR, first aid, and AED within the last 6 months
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, members, and guests
- Frequent swimming, sitting, standing, walking, and driving
- Occasional exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, or gases
- Squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, and bending
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs. on occasion
- Talking, hearing, and seeing
Qualifications

Pay
Your actual base pay will be determined by your skills, experience, education, location, and—if you're in a non-exempt role—hours worked.
Schedule
Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule. Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines. Availability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required.
