SWF - Custodial Worker

About the role

Responsible for all custodial duties and light maintenance in and around the terminal as well as buildings 110, 138, 142, 2290 (Bays 1, 2 & 3).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Empty trash and garbage containers inside and outside of the terminal including the frontage of the parking lot.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, or otherwise clean windows, offices, breakrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and public areas as assigned, inside and outside the Terminal building.
• Operate floor and carpet cleaners, vacuums, and other cleaning machinery as directed, always in a safe manner.
• Clean all HVAC vents and Lighting Fixtures.
• Clean Terrazzo floors.
• Check and maintain soap, paper, and other dispensers.
• Notify supervisor of the need for building or equipment repairs.
• Runs business errands as necessary.
• Perform some outdoor and light winter duties.
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned.
• Participate in Total Quality Management programs.
• Group and team work outside of daily routines will be assigned when necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Fluent Knowledge of the English Language, both oral and written. Ability to speak and understand the Spanish language is a plus.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

Physical Demands

• Regularly, repeatedly, and daily, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
• Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
• Exposure to noise levels during non-event days and moderate to loud during event days.
