Sweeping Truck Operator (Night Shift) non-CDL

Night shift position operating heavy-duty sweeper trucks and handheld equipment to clean private streets, parking lots, and other locations.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently to clean streets, lots, and other locations of trash, leaves, and other debris.
• Work independently under a supervisor’s instruction.
• Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ensure supplies, materials, and equipment are secured prior to operating sweeper.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle (DVIR).
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including a backpack blower.
• Walk while using a backpack blower for a large percentage of the work shift.
• Notify Route Supervisor of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Complete job tickets with detailed information and submit as required.
• Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Perform motions including stretching, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, walking, standing, reaching, and squatting.
• Operate equipment under temperature extremes for extended hours.
• Work in a variety of weather conditions and be exposed to vehicular traffic.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Attendance is required according to company policy to ensure crew efficiency.
• Participate in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude with co-workers, customers, and the public.
• Be flexible with last-minute schedule, location, or shift changes; overtime may be required.
• Comply with OSHA, DOT, and all local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
• Must be at least 25 years of age for driving positions to meet insurance underwriting requirements.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be insurable under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.
• Willing to submit to a background check and pre-placement drug analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specific job-related experience preferred but not required.
• Spanish proficiency is a plus but not required.

Pay

$21.00+ per hour depending on experience.
