Swahili Language Specialist - Freelance AI Trainer Project

Job Summary

We're seeking a Swahili language specialist to contribute to the development of advanced AI systems. The role involves challenging language models on Swahili-specific linguistic aspects and documenting failures to improve model performance.

Responsibilities

• Converse with advanced language models on Swahili-related scenarios
• Verify the factual accuracy and logical soundness of model responses
• Capture reproducible error traces
• Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics

Requirements

• A master’s or PhD in Swahili language, linguistics, or a closely related field
• Peer-reviewed publications, translation experience, or hands-on linguistic analysis projects
• Clear, metacognitive communication skills

Qualifications

• Expertise in Swahili grammar, syntax, morphology, semantics, phonetics, and pragmatics
• Experience with large-scale language models and AI training

Skills

• Strong command of Swahili language
• Knowledge of advanced language models and their limitations
• Ability to communicate complex linguistic concepts clearly and effectively

Pay & Schedule

The pay range is $6 to $65 per hour, with the exact rate determined based on experience, expertise, and location. Final offers may vary from the stated range.
