Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with state lottery leaders, key government officials, legislators, and regulatory bodies to advocate for the company's interests and contribute to the development of policies affecting the lottery industry.
- Position the company with key Lottery and Government stakeholders in advance of RFPs being issued.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with state lotteries, industry associations, government officials, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the company in relevant forums and contribute to discussions shaping the lottery industry landscape.
- Lobbying and Legislative Policy Advocacy:
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments related to the lottery and gaming industry.
- Develop and execute strategies to advocate for favorable policies and regulations that align with Intralot’s commercial strategy.
- Develop and implement effective lobbying strategies aligned with company policy goals at state and occasionally federal levels.
- Engage regularly with legislators, regulators, and agencies on legislative and regulatory developments affecting the business.
- Collaborate with internal teams and our contract lobbyists to ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with lobbying laws, managing disclosures and supervising external consultants and lobbyists.
- Prepare briefing materials and policy updates for senior leadership and the board to inform strategic decision-making.
- Crisis and Issue Management:
- Anticipate and address regulatory challenges and issues that may impact the company.
- Develop proactive strategies to manage and mitigate potential regulatory risks.
- Support the business in dealing with the consequences of any operational and contractual issues.
- Diplomatic Missions Relations:
- Act as the primary corporate liaison to foreign embassies in Greece and Greek embassies abroad, fostering strong diplomatic ties.
- Develop and nurture relationships with diplomatic and governmental stakeholders to support bilateral cooperation and international growth.
- Represent the organization in key diplomatic engagements and official events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, Law, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in Public Affairs, Lobbying Regulation, or Diplomatic Protocol are desirable.
- 15+ years of experience in government relations, lobbying, regulatory affairs, or diplomatic strategy, with at least 5 years in senior leadership or executive-level role.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with high-level stakeholders, influence public policy, and operate in complex political environments.
- Experience with lobbying regulations and public affairs operations in multinational and regulated sectors.
