Sustainable Practice Tutor - Nationwide
We are seeking expressions of interest from passionate and experienced Sustainable Horticulture Practitioners to deliver our Part-Time Sustainability Level 4 course. Delivery locations are flexible across the country, based on student interest and your availability. The course runs one day a fortnight on weekends, with face-to-face sessions supplemented by online learning, assessment, and marking.
About the role
This opportunity is ideal for a Sustainable Horticulturist eager to share skills and knowledge while maintaining existing professional interests. Land Based Training is an NZQA Category 1 provider offering vocational and foundation-level programmes throughout Aotearoa. The successful applicant will facilitate engaging, inclusive teaching for diverse learners varying in age, gender, cultural background, and learning abilities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, interactive lessons that inspire students to return
- Support student learning through face-to-face and online platforms
- Maintain professionalism, commitment, and a positive approach to adult education
- Demonstrate strong computer literacy and administrative skills
- Communicate effectively with learners and colleagues
Requirements
- Experience as a Sustainable Horticulturist with a passion for sharing knowledge
- Expertise in sustainable practices, biodynamics, permaculture, or related fields
- Ability to create fun, interactive learning experiences for diverse learners
