Sustainable Agriculture Goal Governance Manager

About the role

The Goal Governance Manager is responsible for governance, capacity building, data, reporting, and stakeholder engagement across three of PepsiCo's Positive Agriculture goals: Sustainable Sourcing; Regenerate, Restore and Protect; and Livelihoods.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Sustainable Sourcing, Regenerate/Restore/Protect, and Livelihoods goals from governance, capacity-building, data, reporting, and internal/external stakeholder engagement perspectives to support pep+ 2030 goal delivery.
• Oversee the Sustainable Farming Program, PepsiCo’s internal assurance standard for sustainable sourcing of directly sourced crops.
• Manage an employee responsible for annual reporting of goal delivery, internal coordination, and the contracting/financial accounting/approvals process for Positive Agriculture.
• Provide support to PepsiCo associates executing the goals by answering questions, interpreting governance, and enabling pragmatic execution for impact.
• Enable implementation of goals in local contexts by supporting understanding, interpretation, and application of governance.
• Manage one team member and external consultants as needed to deliver results.
• Stay current with external developments in regenerative agriculture, restoration/protection, sustainable sourcing, and livelihoods to inform PepsiCo’s goal evolution; represent PepsiCo in industry forums.
• Serve as the central point of coordination and knowledge mastery for the team, acting as liaison between Positive Agriculture project managers, reporting teams (controls, legal), the Human Rights team, and regional teams on goal delivery for key ingredients.

Requirements

• More than 8 years of experience in corporate sustainability functions, agriculture, and/or supply chains.
• Extensive knowledge of sustainability certification schemes and benchmarks such as the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA), audit, and remediation protocols.
• Strong organizational and program management skills; proficiency in data management and tools like Excel for interpreting large datasets.
• Experience working in two or more geographic regions, including diverse farming systems (smallholder and large-holder).
• More than 2 years of experience working directly on global Human Rights topics.
• Knowledge of auditing, verification, and/or certification methods preferred.
• Knowledge of agriculture, agricultural supply chains, and procurement processes is a plus.
• Knowledge of PepsiCo supply chains, sustainable sourcing rules, and sector structures is a plus.

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $110,700 – $185,250. Actual starting salary will be based on location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education. A performance-based bonus with a target payout of 12% of annual salary is paid out annually.
