About the Role

Works with a variety of stakeholders to ensure systems are put into place within Mason County that support the mental health of students, staff, and the community. Explores local, state, and national funding sources to ensure sustainability of mental health supports for Mason County Schools, including but not limited to Medicaid billing, grants, donations, and other revenue sources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Preferred experience in mental health services or school administration
  • Demonstrated ability to function both autonomously and as a team member
  • Knowledge of community resources, Medicaid regulations, and Cabinet for Health and Family Services regulations
  • Preferred grant management and grant writing experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate wrap-around community resources to support students and their families
  • Develop systematic support systems involving community stakeholders to discuss students, staff, and community needs
  • Foster relationships with community resources to ensure school and local funds are used on targeted problems, ensuring a high return on benefit
  • Actively explore local, state, and national funding opportunities to support critical positive culture and mental health efforts
  • Maintain written documentation and case records within Infinite Campus and InfoHandler for Medicaid billing; ensure all allowable Medicaid billable actions are accounted for
  • Support the delivery of quality, effective student-centered services to improve students' social, emotional, and educational functioning
  • Foster effective communication with students, parents, staff, and community partners
  • Participate in periodic meetings with stakeholders to identify student needs, develop intervention plans, and provide feedback to team members
  • Maintain written documentation and paperwork required to sustain the AWARE grant
  • Support the AWARE Grant Coordinator on required AWARE documentation and requirements
  • Participate in local, state, and federal training to support mental health and the AWARE grant
  • Work with all personnel and related activities associated with the AWARE grant to meet student needs
  • Meet with local and regional mental health stakeholders to build appropriate student mental health supports in Mason County Schools
  • Other duties as assigned
