Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive the implementation of sustainability initiatives to achieve cost savings
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement sustainability projects
  • Foster a proactive facility management culture through effective use of monitoring and diagnostic tools
  • Maintain an updated initiatives tracker, including savings type, estimates, and status
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sustainability metrics
  • Promote continuous improvement in sustainability practices across the organization
  • Support Operations / Projects teams (i.e., Building FMs) in sustainability engagement
  • Support buildings and systems management operations in the most energy-efficient way
  • Complete Energy Management Checklist and provide periodic reports
  • Train all employees on Corporate Environmental Sustainability goals
  • Drive sustainability mindset in day-to-day work
  • Site environmental data collection process for Corporate ESG Reporting
  • Provide data feed required for external reporting
  • Report sustainability program strategy, management, and performance to site, sponsors, and corporate CoEs
  • Escalate gaps identified, corporate team support needed, and other changes such as scope & resources
  • Provide quarterly reports on trends, technology, & regulations
  • Pursue local / national certifications or awards for program recognition
  • Develop employee education materials and onsite employee engagement events
  • Manage sustainability communications and Energy Program
  • Support US DoE 50001 Readiness
  • Establish Energy Performance Indicator (EnPI) around significant energy users
  • Complete and update Low Carbon Transition Playbook
  • Conduct technical site energy assessments (Energy Kaizen, Energy Audit, Gemba Walks, etc.)
  • Ideate projects and pipeline, coordinate project entry into corporate platform with site stakeholders
  • Optimize rebate processes
  • Perform sustainability analysis and alternatives for project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with Sustainability Design / Green Building Design Standard (STD-D123) / PA111 / Rebates
  • Execute projects with measurement & verification of savings and rebate optimization
  • Collect and facilitate data entry for bills (electricity, natural gas, water, etc.) across all sites
  • Optimize bills through analytics
  • Support energy procurement, budgeting, and forecast volume
  • Identify Scope 3 reduction projects to achieve 30% reduction by 2030 (Provider's scope 1, 2, 3)
  • Ideate, execute, and measure & verify reduction/savings for Scope 3 projects
  • Report CO2 emissions generated by services provided in system directed by corporate

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in sustainability or a similar role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and report on sustainability metrics
  • Proficiency in energy monitoring systems software and data analysis
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CO2 emission tracking and reporting
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and cost-saving measures
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and best practices
  • LEED Green Associate certification
  • Certified Energy Manager
