Sustainability Data Analytics Specialist II
About the role
AIT is seeking a Sustainability Data Analytics Specialist II to support and enhance our global sustainability program. This role focuses on analyzing and reporting carbon emissions, identifying opportunities for emission reduction, and ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and report data on carbon emissions across transportation and other logistics activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards such as the GHG Protocol and the GLEC Framework.
- Develop and utilize databases and software tools to streamline data collection and reporting processes.
- Coordinate with operational groups to ensure data accuracy.
- Support the design and implementation of sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing AIT's environmental footprint, including projects related to renewable fuels, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Collaborate internally and externally to promote sustainability practices and drive engagement in sustainability initiatives.
- Assist with annual sustainability surveys and the annual sustainability report.
- Conduct research on emerging trends, best practices, and technological advancements in sustainability, providing insights and recommendations.
- Provide updates on applicable policies by geography.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
- 2+ years of business-related sustainability or ESG education or experience.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive, and Zoom (or similar) at a medium proficiency level.
- Experience with ESG/sustainability in a corporate setting (medium proficiency).
- Experience with carbon emission reporting software or frameworks (e.g., GLEC Framework, GHG Protocol, EcoTransIT, Lune) preferred (medium proficiency).
- Experience with data analytics or data visualization software (e.g., Excel, SQL, PowerBI) preferred (medium proficiency).
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated.

Pay
The wage range for this position is $65,180.00–$97,760.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
