About the role

We are looking for a customer-focused and analytically-minded individual to join our Sustainability Data Advisory team in the San Francisco office. This role offers the opportunity to work with the world's top companies to accelerate their sustainability programs. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, leading measurement sessions and delivering advisory services that unlock the full value of our platform, enabling customers to gain clear, reliable insights into their sustainability impact and achieve their sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

• Advise sustainability teams at many of the world’s top companies. Work directly with customers on measuring actionable carbon and non-carbon footprints to reach sustainability goals, ranging from scoping new measurements to in-depth methodology comparisons.
• Deliver services that accelerate customer success, helping customers set up their measurements to meet sustainability goals, serving as a trusted partner in emissions verifications, and providing specialized advisory to optimize their data and methodologies. Ensure customers unlock maximum value from Watershed's platform faster and more effectively than they could on their own.
• Collaborate with science, engineering, and product teams to pioneer innovative measurement solutions and expand Watershed's sustainability intelligence layer.

Requirements

• 5-6 years of experience in a consulting, solutions-engineering, or other customer-facing role. You are excited to work directly with customers to help them set the foundation for world-class sustainability programs.
• Experience in sustainability-related fields, greenhouse gas accounting, and/or ESG reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to learn quickly and operate well in ambiguity. You are organized, systematic, and efficient, thriving in a high-volume environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and comfort using and speaking to data. You are meticulous and detail-obsessed.
• Passion for solving climate change and excitement to contribute at a fast-paced startup.
• Willingness to work from an office 4 days per week. Watershed has hub offices in San Francisco, New York, London, and Mexico City, and satellite offices in Denver, Sydney, Paris, and Berlin. Where we have offices, employees are expected to be in the office 4 days per week.

Pay

$129,420 – $143,800. The total cash compensation range may include several levels at Watershed, and the final offer will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s skills, capabilities, location, and scope of the role. This range is in addition to a total rewards benefit package.

Schedule

4 days per week in-office (San Francisco).
