Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Possess technical skills in the measurement, tracking, and validation of sustainability metrics (e.g., Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions; energy; water; waste)
- Understands the foundational elements of sustainability and can apply them to the food industry and OSI’s business model, including supply chain impacts
- Able to manage their own work independently with minimal guidance and learn on the job and through real-life scenarios and peers
- Partners with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Operations, and facility teams to collect, validate, and improve sustainability data and reporting processes
- Operates with an investigates mindset to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Troubleshoots and pinpoint root causes for discrepancies working cross-functionally to improve data accuracy, consistency
- Contributes to team strategy to automate and streamline sustainability data collection, management, and reporting systems (e.g., Benchmark/Gensuite)
- Supports enterprise sustainability reporting efforts (e.g., GRI, CDP, SBTi, regulatory disclosures) through data collection, validation, and documentation
- Through training and experience, develops the skillset to update and create reports within Tableau, Power BI or similar tools
- Designs, develops, implements, and maintains business solutions to improve performance
- Stays current with internal data governance policies and procedures
- Contributes to continuous improvement and digitalization activities through seeking and implementing industry best practices
- Participates in meetings and communications with all departments of company cross functionally
- Provides support and training to Business Stakeholders on sustainability data entry, reporting expectations and performance tracking tools
- Works closely with team members to analyze and validate report outputs
- Assists with ad-hoc data requests & data gathering for business stakeholders
- Collaborates with team members to clarify/better define request details to support efficient reporting
- This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures
Experience & Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in related field is preferred
- Working knowledge of data extraction and analysis
- Experience in a distribution, supply chain or warehouse environment a strong plus
- Excellent proficiency in Office 365, especially Excel
- Working knowledge of Benchmark Gensuite, Tableau, and Power BI a strong plus
Preferred Education
- BA/BS or equivalent is preferred
