Role Summary

The Sushi Cook prepares a variety of hot and cold food items, including salads, sauces, side dishes, appetizers, and garnishes. Duties include washing, peeling, slicing, and mixing vegetables, fruits, pasta, and other ingredients; carving and slicing meats and cheese; measuring and mixing ingredients to create dressings, sauces, salads, and other menu items according to recipes.

Essential Responsibilities

• Report to work on time as indicated on the schedule and maintain a uniform that meets restaurant requirements.
• Practice positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all shifts.
• Prepare all food according to company specifications, recipes, procedures, plate presentation, and quality standards.
• Ensure guests receive a superior dining experience by correctly prepping food products.
• Display proper food safety techniques, including hand washing, glove use, and knife skills.
• Know and follow emergency procedures for the restaurant.
• Maintain the highest degree of sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety for the work area (prep tables, countertops, refrigeration units, floors, walls, shelving).
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and immediately report any unsafe condition, act, accident, or injury.
• All newly hired associates are subject to E‑Verify Employment Eligibility Verification.
