Duties
- Prepare sushi dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the sushi preparation area
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Aid with catering orders and special events as needed
- Order and manage inventory of products
- Control food costs
- Manage front of the house to ensure guest experience is excellent
Skills
- Proven experience as a Head Sushi Chef or relevant role
- Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and ingredients
- Strong knife skills and ability to handle seafood with precision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
