Surveyor II - Augusta, GA

Responsibilities

• Operate surveying instruments/equipment and compile and enter data into computer software.
• Provide assistance to Survey Manager in layout and measurements.
• Operate GPS, Trimble, and Total station equipment.
• Maintain all surveying equipment and supplies.
• Compare survey computations with applicable standards to ensure data accuracy.
• Verify equipment monthly.
• Attend safety meetings and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

  Requirements

  • Minimum of 4+ years of survey experience on highway/roadway construction projects.
  • A High School diploma is highly preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English or Spanish.
  • Must be able to lift 25 to 50 lbs. several times a day.
  • Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours (daytime/nighttime).
  • Must be accustomed to working in an outside environment.
  • Must work well under pressure.
  • Maintain a clean Georgia driver’s license.
