Responsibilities

  • Set up and test the online navigation and data logging systems under supervision
  • Instructed in the calibration process of survey sensors
  • Supervised to run the daily operation of on-line systems
  • Instructed in the quality control of positioning systems/ sensors and logged data
  • Instructed in maintaining survey quality records (including daily logbook)
  • Perform work role in accordance with company and project policies & procedures
  • Instructed in operational activities and shown what logged data meets acceptance criteria
  • Aware of emergency procedures and drills
  • Take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and others and to take the necessary steps to protect the environment
  • Cooperate with supervisors and managers on Health safety and environmental matters and not interfere with anything provided to safeguard their Health and Safety
  • Take part in hazard identification and risk assessment as required by Offshore Manager
  • Report all Health, Safety & Environmental concerns to the Party Chief / Offshore Manager

Qualifications

We are looking for another member to join our Survey and Positioning Team in Houston, Texas. Our working environment consists of highly educated, skilled, positive, innovative, and enthusiastic employees. The Surveyor Grade II function is to be aware and assist in the survey standards during offshore operations. This includes setting up and operating the survey equipment, logging, QC and backing up of data. Assisting the Senior Surveyor or Party Chief instructions and being supervised during a shift.
