Surveying Interns - Summer 2027

About the role

ROWE Professional Services Company is an employee-owned, full-service professional consulting firm specializing in civil engineering, surveying, aerial photography/mapping, LiDAR, landscape architecture, planning, and land development. With core values of safety, quality, people, service, and growth, ROWE is seeking Surveying Interns for its Michigan offices for the 2027 summer internship program. Interns will work with conventional surveying and photogrammetry tools, stationary, mobile and UAV LiDAR systems and software under the supervision of a Project Surveyor, Crew Chief or Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist in field data collection and construction layout of various projects.
• Assist in completing various surveying tasks.
• Willing to work outdoors on project sites as needed.

Requirements

• Pursuing an associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree in surveying, civil engineering or a related field.
• Prior experience with field surveying, AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation is a plus.
• Availability to work full-time during the internship.
• Ability to interact well with coworkers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical/judgement capabilities.
• Ability to work independently or on a team.
