Key Responsibilities
- Data Management and Analysis
- Lead the transfer, organization, processing, and analysis of field data, working collaboratively with the survey team to maintain the highest data integrity.
- Cook up with the project team on the development and review of the field package, field procedures, and general project lifecycle.
- Utilize advanced software and tools for data processing and analysis.
- Work closely with Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to learn how to analyze final boundary decisions.
- Team Leadership and Mentoring
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced technicians.
- Aid Survey Technicians I & II in task assignments, work scheduling, and project coordination.
- Client Interaction
- Communicate with clients and project managers, ensuring that project requirements are met, issues are addressed, and project progress is reported accurately.
Qualifications
- An educational background in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of technical experience in progressively responsible surveying roles.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting, data processing, and reviewing final surveying deliverables.
- Proficiency in the use of advanced surveying instruments and software.
- In-depth knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and procedures.
- Problem solving and organizational skills are necessary.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
