Survey Technician

About the role

You’ll join an established and growing team of Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Athens, PA office. You will be part of a survey field crew performing work on topographic and boundary surveys, construction stakeouts, and inspections to help our clients in the power, oil & natural gas, and varied commercial markets achieve their project and operational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Perform land survey work through the application of surveying principles and practices and use of modern survey equipment.
• Operate instrumentation, clear brush, drive stakes, hold chains or rods, record data, prepare sketches and maintain equipment as needed.
• Utilize surveying software applications to gather, retrieve and interpret important data, and perform basic survey computations.
• Provide foundational training for further professional development as a land surveyor.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 years survey experience preferred.
• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Survey Engineering, Geomatic Engineering, or other related field preferred.
• Ability to operate motorized equipment and possess sufficient physical stamina to work outdoors under various field conditions.
• Valid Driver's License.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
