About the role
Responsible for managing projects involving geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, and spatial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain GIS databases and spatial data models
- Collaborate with project teams to define requirements and specifications
- Perform spatial analysis using software tools such as ArcGIS and QGIS
- Prepare reports and presentations based on project findings
- Ensure data accuracy and completeness through quality control processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in GIS or related field
- Proficiency in ArcGIS and QGIS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of remote sensing techniques and satellite imagery interpretation
- Experience with spatial statistics and geostatistics
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of environmental regulations and compliance
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software
- Experience with spatial data management and database design
- Strong understanding of environmental science principles
