About the role
The Survey Project Manager is responsible for managing survey projects from kickoff through delivery, overseeing technical quality, schedules, budgets, and client expectations. This role plays a key part in mentoring survey staff, coordinating with internal project teams, and supporting RETTEW's continued growth in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Responsibilities
- Manage land surveying projects, including boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, and construction surveys.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and responsiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to meet project and business objectives.
- Review and seal survey plans, plats, and related deliverables in accordance with Pennsylvania regulations and professional standards.
- Cook up with field crews, CAD staff, and other disciplines to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
- Mentor and support survey staff by providing technical guidance and professional development.
- Aid with proposals, scope development, and project planning as needed.
Qualifications
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive surveying experience, including project management responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania survey regulations, standards, and permitting requirements.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines.
- Proficiency with standard survey software, equipment, and CAD platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to perform occasional field work.
