What You Will Be Doing

  • Provide work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by field staff i.e., forms for concrete pours, anchor bolts, piping hangers and supports, etc.
  • Ensure that crews perform layout work competently and accurately.
  • Check as-built conditions that require the use of surveying techniques.
  • Provide topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities.
  • Assist with conducting quantity calculations as required.
  • Maintain the condition and calibration of surveying equipment.
  • Cookordinate survey activities with the assigned engineer and superintendents to meet the construction requirements.
  • Manage survey department resources and department assigned budget.

What We Are Looking For

  • A High School Diploma / GED is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geometrics or related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in survey or land mapping is required.
  • A Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification is preferred.
  • A Valid Driver’s License is required.
  • Developing leadership and management skills.
  • Expert knowledge of land mapping and technical survey instrument techniques.

Pay

Salary Range: USD $90,000.00/Yr. to USD $130,000.00/Yr.

About the Role

As an Assistant Survey Manager, you will oversee survey teams of one or more project sites, providing technical input regarding engineering standards, specifications, design instructions and land mapping.

Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED required. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geometrics or related field preferred. 5+ years’ experience in survey or land mapping required. Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) preferred. Valid Driver’s License.

Skills

Expert knowledge of land mapping and technical survey instrument techniques. Developing leadership and management skills.
