About the role
The Energy Survey Drafter 2 position involves working with Surveyors to develop 2D and 3D drawings, as well as other documents (including AutoCAD & Civil 3D), for client projects.
Essential Functions
- Create drawings for survey related projects
- Obtain and assemble data to complete survey drawings
- Draw topographical maps
- Prepare easement drawings and legal descriptions
- Draw land title surveys to meet ALTA/NSPS standard detail requirements
- Convert drawing formats to be compatible with engineering and client requirements
- Read and understand deeds and related legal documents
- Create and store drawings electronically
- Independently research project specific information
- Determine procedures and instructions to be followed according to survey specifications
- Operate computer-aided drafting equipment to produce working drawings
- Manage billable time to hit target utilization

- Lends advice and knowledge to fellow team members
Required Education/Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Civil 3D, Carlson drafting and detailing
- Advanced AutoCAD skills
- Prior experience in survey drafting
Preferred Education/Experience
- An associates degree
Travel
Travel between offices for collaboration with team members and for project meetings will be required.
