Survey Drafter

About the role

The Energy Survey Drafter 2 position is responsible for developing 2D and 3D drawings, topographical maps, easement drawings, and legal descriptions for client projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. This role also involves assembling data, preparing land title surveys to meet ALTA/NSPS standards, and managing billable time.

Responsibilities

• Create drawings for survey related projects
• Obtain and assemble data to complete survey drawings
• Draw topographical maps
• Prepare easement drawings and legal descriptions
• Draw land title surveys to meet ALTA/NSPS standard detail requirements
• Convert drawing formats to be compatible with engineering and client requirements
• Read and understand deeds and related legal documents
• Create and store drawings electronically
• Independently research project specific information
• Determine procedures and instructions to be followed according to survey specifications
• Operate computer-aided drafting equipment to produce working drawings
• Manage billable time to hit target utilization

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in Civil 3D, Carlson drafting and detailing
• Advanced AutoCAD skills
• Prior experience in survey drafting
