Responsibilities
- Drives to and from sites daily.
- Set up, adjust, and operate survey equipment including: level, robotic total station, data collector and GPS equipment.
- Measure distances, angles, and elevations for staking purposes.
- Review survey field calculations and adjust when needed.
- Locate or establish vertical and horizontal control.
- Utilize various surveying equipment to measure various data including: curb and gutter, water & sewer, storm drain and paving, etc…
- Prepare field notes to complete as-built drawings.
- Maintain work-issued vehicle, and survey equipment.
- Follow Hamilton’s safety protocols.
- Work independently as a one-man crew, when needed.
- Able to read and interpret engineering/construction plans.
- Effectively communicate with contractors, inspectors and team leads in high-pressure environments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Technical degree
- Five (5) plus years of experience in Construction Staking, Topo, & ALTA
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic knowledge/skills with various data collecting software and general computer knowledge
- Physical capabilities: Lift 50 lbs.; driving lath with small sledge; on feet 4-5 hrs. at a time; work in direct sunlight

Compensation
Hourly : $26 - $28/hr. negotiable based on experience
