About the role
The Survey Crew Chief oversees a team of surveyors responsible for conducting field surveys to gather data for various projects. The role involves managing the crew, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining high standards of quality in survey work.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the survey crew
- Ensure all survey activities adhere to safety protocols and company standards
- Manage resources including equipment and personnel
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure project goals are met
- Review and approve survey reports for accuracy and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in surveying
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in surveying software and tools
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Knowledge of local and state surveying regulations
Skills
- Proficient in GIS and mapping software
- Experience with GPS and surveying instruments

Pay
Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually
