Responsibilities
- Perform accurate measurements and calculations.
- Recording of field data.
- Supervising survey field crew.
- Ensuring completion dates and budgets are met.
- Ensuring consistent application of Stantec’s operating standards and safety practices.
- Utilizing Trimble Business Center to transfer data to the proper location in the computer network and to acquire data for field use.
- Aid in the preparation of survey drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D software.
- Identify hazardous situations and apply safety procedures and company standards.
- Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Requirements
- Experience performing field boundary, topographic, land title surveys, and construction staking.
- Well-developed understanding of field survey methods and calculations.
- Ability to operate Trimble Data Collectors, GPS, Robotic Total Stations, and relevant survey equipment.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D, Trimble Business Center and related software.
- Excellent cooperative skills and working efficiently with a team.
- Strong skills in communication, time management, organization, and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical school diploma/certificate in a related program with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
