About the role
As a Land Survey Crew Chief in Tucson, Arizona, you will have an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team on meaningful, landmark projects. You will help clients and communities turn their dreams into reality, learn from and work alongside industry-leading experts, and shape the future of tomorrow. The position requires periodic out-of-town work, typically 2-3 days once every 3 months, with opportunities for extended travel if interested.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a Party Crew Chief
- A.S. in surveying or equivalent work experience of seven years
- LSIT or RLS certification is a plus
- Experience with construction performance, topographical, boundary, and aerial control surveys
- Proven ability to perform coordinate geometry calculations using a hand-held programmable calculator and direct the work of others
- Familiarity with use and maintenance of survey equipment, including total stations and GPS systems (Trimble Access experience a plus)
- Ability to prepare cut sheets and read construction plans
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for 8 to 10 hours per day, and swing an 8 lb. sledgehammer
- Dependable and able to work well with a survey team
- Experience dealing effectively with clients and contractors
- Good driving record is required
