Job Summary

As an employee at Harlow's Casino Resort and Spa, you will be an ambassador of southern hospitality, crafting moments of joy for guests while observing and maintaining security in various areas of the property.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Arrives sufficiently early for briefing; Checks equipment functions on a regular basis; Maintains daily shift log; Notifies supervisor of suspicious activity or procedure violations; Observes all areas of casino, hotel and public areas for procedural infractions and criminal activity; Knows all gaming procedures, slot, etc.; Detects, documents and records suspect activities within the casino, casino cage, slots, and count room areas; as well as archive footage pertaining to casino incidents.
  • Maintains familiarity with Mississippi Gaming Commission rules and regulations, Internal Controls, company policies and procedures; Performs close watch as assigned; Handles other duties as required; Maintains a low profile in all areas of the casino; Avoids over-familiarity with casino personnel.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common documentation.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff.
  • Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner.
  • Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of current duties.
  • Must have ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in surveillance with knowledge of CCTV systems.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.

  • The team member is regularly required to sit and talk. The team member is also frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands. The team member will also be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in high spaces to complete their tasks and must have the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • The work environment consists of very demanding surroundings with a low noise level, while in the Surveillance Room.
