Surgical Technologist - Local/Internal Traveler

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to surgical team during the intra-operative phase.
• Create an aseptic, safe, appropriately equipped and functional surgical environment.
• Prepare the operating room, supply and assemble instruments, maintain sterile fields, handle instruments, and initiate counts throughout procedures.
• Perform surgical technician duties, including on-call duties as needed.

Requirements

• Completion of 4 years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
• Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential from a nationally recognized certifying body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists.
• Certification in Basic Life Support.
• One (1) year of Surgical Technologist experience.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of 4 years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
• Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential from a nationally recognized certifying body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists.
• Certification in Basic Life Support.
• One (1) year of Surgical Technologist experience.

Pay

USD $55.00 - USD $55.00 /Hr.

Schedule

• 40 hours per week.
• Day shift with weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call rotation.
• Area assignment: Main Operating Room.
• May be asked to float to any Southcoast Hospital: Charlton Memorial—Fall River, St. Luke’s—New Bedford, and Tobey—Wareham.
