Surgical Technologist - Evenings

About the role

This position is at Sanford Medical Center Fargo, located at 5225 23rd Ave S, Fargo, ND 58104. The department is a 16-bed operating room on two floors, providing care for adult and pediatric surgical patients across a wide range of specialties: General, Trauma, Bariatrics, Urology, Gynecology, Robotics, Cardiovascular, Plastics, Ear-Nose-Throat, Oral, Pediatric, Neuro, Peripheral Vascular, and Pediatric and Adult Orthopedic Trauma.

Surgical technologists are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the surgeon during surgical procedures, including preparing and organizing operating room instruments and supplies.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs during a procedure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Must be on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry at the time employment begins.
• National certification preferred through the NBSTSA, but not required.
• New graduates are welcome to apply with or without certification.

Pay

Salary range: $24.00 – $38.50 per hour.

• $15,000 sign-on bonus available for eligible applicants with a two-year work commitment.
• Non-certified techs start at $24.00/hour.
• Certified techs start at $25.50/hour and increase based on years of applicable work experience.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Evening shifts: Monday through Friday, 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm. No call required.
