Surgical Technologist Cert PRN

Job Summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist works directly with the physician and the circulating registered nurse in each surgical procedure, understanding his/her scope of practice based upon training, and the facility policies and outlined in the job description.

Qualifications

• Certification from an accredited school of surgical technology.
• Minimum of one-year Surgical Tech experience
• Three years of Surgical Tech experience preferred
• Certified as a Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) as of January 1, 2018, OR
• Successfully completed a training program for surgical technologists administered by the United States Public Health Service, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard OR
• Engaged in the practice of surgical technology in a health care facility before January 1, 2018
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
