Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech at Upper Bay Surgery Center The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities. Qualifications High School Diploma/GEDCompletion of a Surgical Technician Program Certification as required by state and/or center1+ years of Surgical Tech experience in an ambulatory surgical center and/or hospitalMust possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patientUnderstanding of aseptic techniques and their implementationAbility to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when neededMust excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians Pay range: $24.00/hr to $37.34/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
