Surgical Technologist - Ambulatory Surgery (10 Hour Days)

About the role

Seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to assist with surgical procedures across all ages in a clinical setting. The position emphasizes patient care, safety, collaboration, and ongoing learning in a diverse and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting surgeons during surgeries by preparing and handling instruments, supplies, and specimens.
• Practicing aseptic techniques, connecting patients to equipment, and ensuring correct surgical site identification.
• Maintaining accurate inventory, preparing operating rooms, and assisting with wound dressing and specimen management.
• Monitoring patient reactions, documenting medical information, and supporting intra-operative needs.
• Cleaning and organizing the surgical environment between procedures and assisting in training new personnel.

Qualifications and Skills

• Active Surgical Technologist Certification or meeting Act 80 grandfathering guidelines.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety and aseptic protocols.
