Surgical Technologist - Ambulatory Surgery (10 Hour Days)

About the role

Seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to assist in surgical procedures, ensuring aseptic techniques, patient safety, and proper handling of specimens and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assisting surgeons during surgeries across all ages
• Preparing operating rooms with instruments, sutures, and supplies
• Practicing sterile techniques, participating in surgical timeouts, and verifying surgical sites
• Managing supplies, documenting procedures, and ensuring accurate specimen identification
• Monitoring patient reactions, assisting with wound care, and maintaining a clean, organized environment
• Supporting intra-operative needs and training new staff members

Qualifications

• Active Surgical Technologist Certification or eligibility under Act 80 guidelines
• Previous experience preferred
• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills
