Surgical Technician- Pediatrics

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in the Operating Room to assist the surgical team.
• Scrubbing on operative procedures.
• Obtaining and preparing instruments and equipment.
• Maintaining a clean and safe surgical environment.
• Prepares appropriate supplies and equipment based upon procedural and/or surgeon preference list.
• Checks equipment and instrumentation for proper function prior to procedure.
• Prepares room for next patient.
• Prepares instruments for decontamination.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• BLS CPR certification.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist training program including clinical experience.
• Minimum of 4-5 years experience as a Surgical Technician.
• At least 2 years of Peds experience.
• Certified by The Association of Surgical Technologists, The National Board of Surgical Technology, or The Surgical Assisting Liaison Council Certificate of Surgical Technology preferred.

Pay

$48 per hour.

Schedule

40 hours per week, Monday & Tuesday 7 AM - 7:30 PM, Wednesday 7 AM - 3:30 PM, Tuesday 11 PM - 7:30 AM, On call: 4-6 calls per 6 week schedule with Weekends and Holidays included.
