Key Responsibilities
- Support the full surgical experience: pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care
- Prepare instruments, equipment, and the operating room for procedures
- Assist the physician during procedures as needed
- Verify correct patient, procedure, and surgical site in the OR
- Ensure all medications and solutions (including tumescent) are clearly and properly labeled
- Maintain a sterile environment and clean/disinfect surgical instruments and rooms
- Educate patients and caregivers on procedures, medications, and discharge instructions
- Support patient discharge and return post-op calls
- Schedule follow-up appointments and audit patient records
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and instrument trays
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and labeling standards
- Proficient in written and verbal communication, including basic report writing
- Familiarity with MS Office, especially Excel
- Able to interpret written, diagram, and verbal instructions
- Basic math proficiency
- Experience in patient care and working with physicians and caregivers
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Regular use of computer, phone, and other office equipment
- Lift and move up to 25 lbs. as needed
- Good vision and hearing to interact safely and effectively in a surgical setting
Pay & Benefits
Compensation Range: $21.06 - $26.32 USD
Pay may vary by location, and actual compensation depends on factors like qualifications, experience, skills, and business needs. Sono Bello may adjust this range in the future.
