Responsibilities

• Assist in the care of the surgical patient.
• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
• Understand the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
• Ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure.
• Maintain vigilance for the maintenance of the sterile field.
• Follow instructions of Physicians and RN closely, adhering to established hospital policies related to the Operating Room.
• Maintain a safe environment in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 35 lbs.
• Capable of tolerating long periods of sitting, standing, and/or walking.
• Certified Surgical Technician required.
• Experience in Orthopedics, Neuro, and Spine.
