About the role
The Surgical Tech Program Director/Clinical Coordinator is responsible for teaching classes in and managing the Surgical Technology Program. This is an in-person position at the Quad Cities Campus in Moline, IL, which includes supervising clinical rotations.
Responsibilities
- Possess a minimum of an Associate Degree in surgical technology with a concentration in surgical technology
- Documented education or experience in instructional methodology, curriculum design, and program planning
- A graduate of an accredited surgical technology education program
- A credential in surgical technology from a nationally accredited certification program
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience, including either operating room scrub work or teaching surgical technology, within the last ten years
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to organize workload, maintain accurate records, and follow through on assignments
- Ability to adapt to and encourage positive change
- Oral English proficiency for classroom instruction
- Experience and training as an educator, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Participation in an accredited workshop at least every five years

Pay
Starting salary is commensurate with education and experience. Minimum starting salary for full-time faculty is $50,036 for the 2025-2026 academic year.
