Surgical Tech Procurement

Location: Nashville, TN – Ascension Saint Thomas West, Department of Donor Care Procurement

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
• Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.
• Assist surgeons' provision of hemostasis during surgery.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Surgical Tech credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or
• Associate's degree/Technical degree, or
• 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

Preferences

• CVOR experience required.
