Surgical Tech PRN
Job Summary
Becomes part of a healthcare community dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of patients. Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Performs materials management duties by preparing, compiling, and maintaining records in the surgery department related to supplies. Records items ordered, used, and stocked within the surgical department. Answers phone, transmits orders to Central Supply, communicates to staff stock levels. Is responsible for departmental inventory and reordering process of supplies. Maintains PAR level of supplies of supplies in the department by communicating items to appropriate personnel. Relieves surgery secretary.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: ORT with 1-year OJT as an operating room tech or LVN licensure
- Minimum Experience: 1-year medical surgical experience
- Required Certification: BLS
- Required Licensure: None
