Surgical Tech First Assist (CSFA)- Medical Staff

Responsibilities
- Provides aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions to assist the surgeon in carrying out safe operations with optimal patient results.
- Performs preoperative and postoperative duties to facilitate proper patient care.
- Executes intraoperative duties under the direction and supervision of the surgeon, in accordance with hospital policy and applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Certification in Surgical Technology/Certified First Assistant.
- Successful completion of a training program in a recognized First Assistant program.
- Five years’ experience in an acute care operating room in the scrub role (preferred).
- Proficiency in the following specialties: Major Vascular, Thoracic, Open Heart, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, General.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Provider certification by the American Heart Association.

Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $30.50 to $41.05 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
