Department: Operating Room
Responsibilities
- Handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
- Understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the surgeon's needs.
- Maintains knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure.
- Keeps vigilance for maintaining the sterile field.
- Works in partnership with licensed staff.
- Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a Certified Surgical Technologist and/or a Registered Nurse.
Qualifications
- Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- Must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technologist program, in their last semester, and graduating within six months.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program without a hands-on clinical rotation.
- No experience required.
- Licenses and Certifications: BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
